Multi-layer Markup and Ontological Structures in Akoma Ntoso
نویسندگان
چکیده
The XML documents that represent legal resources contain information and legal knowledge that belong to many distinct conceptual layers. This paper shows how the Akoma Ntoso standard keeps these layers well separated while providing ontological structures on top of them. Additionally, this paper illustrates how Akoma Ntoso allows multiple interpretations, provided by di erent agents, over the same set of texts and concepts and how current semantic technologies can use these interpretations to reason on the underlying legal texts.

RAWE: An Editor for Rule Markup of Legal Texts
This paper presents a Web editor (RAWE: Rules Advanced Web Editor) for marking up legal rules starting from legally binding texts. The Web editor exploits the legal information embedded in the Akoma Ntoso markup, in combination with and XML techniques, so as to help the legal-knowledge engineer model legal rules and convert them into LegalRuleML, an OASIS XML standard candidate.

متن کامل‘http’ or ‘urn’ URIs for legal resources? How about both?
Legal resources in different national standards have been named using two different identifiers, both backed up by the W3C and IETF: Italian NormeInRete and Brazilian LexML rely on urn-based URIs, while African Akoma Ntoso, Dutch Metalex and many others use http-based URI. Purpose of this abstract is three-fold: first, we show that http-based URIs have the same useful characteristics that urn-b...

In this paper we present an overview of the PhD thesis, which aims to show the feasibility of a legal knowledge modeling based on the definitions included into legal texts using Semantic Web techniques in order to check compliance of tender documents to EU Directives. We show a hybrid approach, i.e. a theory and a system that combine the use of Akoma-Ntoso standard to describe legal texts, OWL ...
